life especially and we thought it was almost abusing the internet when you use it to hurt or bring down people. . >> reporter: the cousins of grace who will celebrate her 16th birthday on tuesday challenging themselves to say kind words online. they believe kindness would have kept grace alive. >> it helps with people's self- esteem because i think that tends to be a problem nowadays. a lot of kids have really low self-esteem. i guess they don't think are good enough. >> reporter: the family of grace said she was bullied online for about a year. the student took her own life on easter sunday. since then ravens running back ray rice got behind the family and sponsored anti bullying events. this one in july. >> just hearing like kind word from your friends or from people you aren't friends with

can make your day. >> reporter: the cousins challenge us to step out out of our comfort zone and send a message to someone who is shy or quiet and reach the bullies and have them debeet the words that kill. >> maybe they will rethink their actions and decide that being nice to people with change someone. >> reporter: and the cousins say they had hoped to get one thousand people to join their event on tuesday but again it's over four thousand right now and people across the country are catching on. if you want to accept the ininvitation we have a link on the website. >> thank you. developing story out of northwest baltimore. last night we told you about a shooting. tonight police say that the victim is a 16-year-old girl. the body was found last night in the street. she lived on east federal street but was visiting her aunt. she died at the scene.

baltimore police released this video today. you have to look close. police need your help. you see a man walking there, right up front, the middle of the screen. if you continue to watch you will see him holding a gun. later appears that he shoots up into the air above the dancing crowd. see him in the background. police say is he a person of interest in a homicide that happened september 16th inso inside a bar. the man who was shot in the head later died at hospital. >> this is someone that you normally see hanging out in a certain area, maybe this is someone you went to school with, maybe its someone you used to work with, any information we ask that you contact us. >> take another look. look at the video. more video the man outside the bar with the gun in his hand. if you recognize him give police a call. >> usually you don't survive after pointing a gun at police

but john murphy is in the hospital, it was around 1:30 when his girlfriend called the police to say he wanted to be killed by police. when police arrived he came out of the back and pointed his gun. troopers ordered him to drop it, they say he wouldn't and they fired hit him in the left shoulder this is under investigation right now and the trooper who fired has been put on leave. >> in health alert 105 people have been sickened by meningitis after getting a steriod shot. one question people have, how did the patients get sick so quickly? the reason so many people got so sick so fast actually had to do with the medication that was injected. >> reporter: the tainted steriod comes a compound center. it takes different ingredients and mixes them into prepackaged bottles, that includes the substance that the fda said is

the cause here a steriod. the fda said that the tainted medication was sent to 23 states including maryland and sickened 105 and caused several deaths. the epidurals have been a standard for years. >> which is getting pain -- upper surgery where they form scar surgery around nerves and cause pinching of nerves, patients with fracture spine or broken spine. it can be helping with this. >> reporter: at threat three people have gotten sick. one died. the maryland department of health and mental hygeine said these seven centers use them for pain treatment, all of them stopped using them from this manufacturer. the doctor said made star hospitals have never used any products from the compounding
